Job summary

Amgen invites applicants for the Operations Graduate Program – Summer 2027 Internship. This 13‑week program offers hands‑on projects across Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and more, with mentoring and leadership development.

Interns will engage in virtual sessions and attend an in‑person week at Amgen’s Thousand Oaks, CA headquarters for training and networking. Eligible students pursuing MBA, engineering/business dual degrees, or science‑focused pathways may apply, starting

Qualifications

18 years or older.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Master’s OR Pharm D OR Ph.D. program before the internship starts.
Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or other relevant disciplines preferred.
Two years of relevant work experience in leadership, biotechnology/pharmaceuticals, consulting, engineering, healthcare, manufacturing, technology, or other relevant industries.
Experience applying AI and CI techniques to automate processes and drive proactive problem‑solving.
Demonstrates a passion for innovation in Operations.
Demonstrates problem‑solving skills, high‑level critical thinking, and strong analytical skills.
Shows strong business acumen and ability to connect work to strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

Complete an internship project within the Operations function (Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations Transformation & Digital Strategy, Process Development, and Quality).
Participate in mentoring, coaching, and experiential learning experiences to develop leadership skills.
Attend an in‑person week at Amgen’s headquarters for professional development and networking.
Engage with senior leadership and stakeholders through virtual presentations and networking engagements.
