Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Engineering Ops Director to lead a team responsible for the performance of MEP systems and quality control across properties. This role focuses on robust operations, budget oversight, contractor management, and staff development.

You will guide daily facility controls, asset management, and cross-functional initiatives while upholding CBRE RISE values. A degree and 8–12 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline preferred with 8–12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in staffing, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, and rewarding performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a business unit's financial performance.
• Identify new business opportunities, engage in client solicitations, create proposals and presentations.
• Approve hiring contractors and subcontractors based on facility need and implement bidding procedures.
• Direct daily operation of facility controls and asset management systems.
• Approve annual operating budgets.
• Supervise, train, coach, and recruit staff; conduct evaluations.
• Coordinate daily activities, assign tasks, and mentor staff to meet deadlines.
• Lead cross-functional performance improvements and drive CBRE RISE values.
• Negotiate with external partners to reach common goals.
• Identify and solve complex operational problems leveraging available resources.
• Improve methods, processes and standards within the discipline.
• Manage Class A and High-Rise buildings.
