Job summary

Atlantic Testing Laboratories, Limited offers an entry-level internship or co-op in engineering/construction materials. The role involves performing soil, aggregate, concrete, bituminous, and masonry testing both at active construction sites and in laboratories.

Training and certifications are provided, and about 80 percent of time is spent on-site for sampling, monitoring, and inspection, with the remainder in the lab documenting tests and results.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an engineering program (undergraduate or graduate).
• Interest in construction materials testing and quality control/assurance.
• Willingness to work at active construction sites and in laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, bituminous, and masonry construction materials.
• Assist with field sampling and inspection for quality control/assurance.
• Conduct standardized laboratory tests to verify material conformity to project specifications.
• Document field and laboratory testing results accurately.
