Job summary

Advance Testing, A SOCOTEC Company is seeking a Construction Materials Technician for an Internship/Co-Op to support projects across the Northeastern United States. The role includes on-site and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt, with training and certification provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related coursework valued.
• AS degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or similar, or coursework toward BS in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Experience with construction materials testing or the construction industry is preferred but on-the-job training will be provided.
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Observe work in progress to ensure procedures and materials conform to drawings and specs.
• Perform standard testing of materials.
• Prepare samples for laboratory testing.
• Examine workmanship for conformance to specifications.
• Maintain daily log and prepare clear reports daily.
• Prepare sketches linking testing to inspection sites.
