Job summary

LACO Technologies in Salt Lake City, UT seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team and drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence in vacuum and leak testing systems. You will mentor engineers, improve workflows, and ensure successful execution of complex customer-driven projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• 15+ years in industrial equipment, automation, vacuum systems, or related fields.
• 5+ years engineering leadership across multiple experience levels.
• Proven cross-disciplinary leadership across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team of mechanical and controls engineers.
• Improve workflow efficiency, project execution, and resource planning with clear performance plans.
• Oversee customer-specific design activities from concept to manufacturing release and implementation.
• Provide systems-level leadership across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, vacuum, and testing domains.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, Service, and Exec Leadership.
• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions and project planning for successful execution.
• Support long-term strategy, organizational growth, and technology roadmaps.
