Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to direct the Trim Systems engineering team, align product and process plans, and manage budgets and resources.

You will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to develop and launch solutions while driving continuous improvement and safety across CVG facilities. The role requires extensive design experience, leadership capability, and process excellence in a high-volume environment, with travel up to 40% and a focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or related) is required.
• 20+ years of design engineering experience with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
• 10+ years design experience with CVG's trim systems product and process offering.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and project-management skills.
• Familiarity with AIAG, lean manufacturing, design for manufacturability.
• Knowledge of CVG materials, manufacturing processes, and high-volume production.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, mentoring and aligning with company standards.
• Develop product/process roadmaps and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Drive NPIs, process validation, equipment selection, and manufacturing readiness.
• Evaluate new technologies to enhance product offerings and operations.
• Serve as a technical-sales liaison with customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address technical challenges and capacity expansion.
• Promote safety, quality, and compliance across CVG facilities.
