Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc (CVG) seeks an Engineering Manager to lead and direct the engineering team within the Trim Systems Division, guiding product and process planning, design, and execution while managing budgets, resources, and personnel.

You will collaborate with customers and cross‑functional teams to develop and validate solutions, drive VAVE and continuous improvement initiatives, ensure quality and safety, and help transition new designs into manufacturing with a focus on cost and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or related field).
• Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience (20+ years) in design engineering role.
• Prefer at least 5+ years in managerial, leadership, or supervisory capacity.
• Proven design experience (10+ years) with CVG’s trim systems’ product & process offering.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and empower team members to achieve excellence.
• Proficiency in AIAG and lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to achieve objectives.
• Develop product/process development strategy and ensure on-time, on-budget execution.
• Oversee implementation of new designs, materials, processes, and equipment.
• Represent CVG with customers, understand needs, and present solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Drive quality assurance initiatives and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, facilities, and customers to meet program goals.
