Apple, Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an engineering manager to lead a team of quality engineers.

You’ll decide what gets tested, set the direction for test frameworks, and collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to turn test results into evidence-based recommendations on product readiness. You’ll hire and develop the team, define quality metrics, and report risks and ship-recommendations to leadership while ensuring rigorous verification across shipping and exploratory

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years in quality, test, or software engineering, incl 2+ years managing engineers
• Senior/lead engineer experience designing test automation frameworks or infrastructure
• Experience setting test strategy for embedded firmware or system software
• Ability to review code and designs in Python and at least one of Swift, Objective-C, or C/C++

Mansioni

• Own a portfolio spanning test automation, firmware automation, and manual end-to-end testing of integrated software and hardware
• Set technical direction for test frameworks and infrastructure
• Lead architecture and design reviews; provide feedback on code and test designs; partner with hardware, firmware, and software teams to define test strategy, coverage, and exit criteria
• Lead validation of shipping and exploratory hardware programs from early prototype through launch
• Hire, manage, and develop the team; plan staffing and priorities across concurrent programs
• Define and track quality metrics; report status, risks, and a ship recommendation to leadership
