Job summary

Loop seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the new Support & Stability team responsible for the most critical and high-risk domains. You will build measurement systems, drive permanent fixes, and champion AI-driven automation to reduce recurring issues and improve overall stability.

You will guide a team, maintain hands-on involvement, and negotiate scope with partner teams while advancing reliability across the platform.

Qualifications

• 3 years of engineering management leadership
• Ownership of platform reliability or critical-domain code
• Experience building proactive stability programs
• AI adoption in engineering workflow
• Ability to negotiate scope and ownership with other teams

Responsibilities

• Own stewardship of the application's highest-risk, highest-impact domain areas.
• Build measurement systems for deployment frequency, days with commits, ticket volume, and recurring failure patterns.
• Prioritize root cause fixes over volume of tickets.
• Lead triage of engineering support tickets and route as needed.
• Push AI agents as the default for domain maintenance and support triage.
• Lead AI adoption and set expectations for skill development.
• Represent team health and stability trends to leadership and advocate for stability work.
• Manage people effectively with clear expectations and regular feedback.
