Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Engineering Manager for Special Hazards Fire Suppression Systems to lead a team of engineers responsible for design, development, testing, certification, and lifecycle management of fire suppression solutions. This onsite role in Marinette, WI requires strong leadership, regulatory know-how, and a track record of delivering innovative suppression products.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in engineering, 3+ years in leadership, and a solid background in mechanical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in product development or related industries.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership or people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles including fluids, vessels, valves, piping, materials, and DFM.
• Experience leading cross-functional product development projects from concept through production launch.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance, quality systems, and certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical, systems, and product engineers supporting special hazards fire suppression products.
• Drive new product development, product enhancements, and cost optimization from concept through commercialization.
• Provide technical leadership in design and development of fire suppression systems and related hardware.
• Collaborate with Product Management to translate requirements into innovative suppression solutions.
• Manage resources, schedules, budgets, risks, and priorities to meet objectives.
• Support technology roadmaps, product lifecycle management, and portfolio growth initiatives.
