Job summary

PlanSource is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers developing SaaS applications. You will balance people leadership, delivery accountability, and technical oversight to align with product and business goals.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, QA, and cross‑functional teams to enable high performance, foster career growth, and implement modern development practices that improve quality, reduce cycle times, and strengthen reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience in commercial software development within SaaS environments.
• Experience in benefits technology, payroll, or a related field strongly preferred.
• Prior experience leading or managing software engineers required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers across levels, fostering engagement, accountability, and growth.
• Own delivery outcomes for the team, ensuring commitments are met with high quality and predictable execution.
• Remain accountable for technical quality and adherence to engineering standards; guide design decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA and other teams to align delivery plans and dependencies.
• Drive team retrospectives and improvements focusing on delivery speed, quality, and collaboration.
