Biorce is seeking an Engineering Manager, SaaS, to drive the Engineering function from our Austin hub. You will lead delivery health, people development, and hiring across engineering squads, with a focus on AI-native delivery and human governance.

The role reports to the Head of Engineering and works with Product and AI Research. Responsibilities include growing squads to 12–15 engineers, owning release rhythm, and ensuring audits are observed.

Formación

• 5+ years as a strong senior engineer on distributed systems, microservices, SaaS.
• 4+ years managing after a senior IC run.
• Led two or more teams concurrently, ~10–20 engineers, via tech leads.
• Experience in regulated or audited delivery environments (health, fintech, government).
• Shipping against hard release gates with audit trails.

Responsabilidades

• Lead 5–8 engineers across one or two squads, with growth to 12–15 across 2–3 squads.
• Own delivery health, lead time, change-failure rate, release rhythm.
• Treat timelines as a budget; re-prioritize scope openly when at risk.
• Maintain AI governance; ensure human review before merge for AI changes.
• Partner with AI Research on model-quality workstreams with technical dialogue.
• Collaborate with Product on a shared scoreboard for outcomes and priorities.
• Shield squads; protect focus as priorities shift across the portfolio.
• Structure architecture ownership with principal engineers and Product-led scope.
• Develop engineers and tech leads via coaching, feedback, growth.
• Lead hiring for the group: sourcing, interviewing, offers, onboarding.
