Job summary

Roblox is seeking an Engineering Manager for Engine Networking to lead a team of systems engineers and evolve our core multiplayer networking tech. You will set roadmaps, guide architecture, recruit and coach, and write high-performance C++ across mobile, desktop and consoles.

This hands-on leadership role requires 8+ years in software engineering, 5+ years in management, fluency in C++, and experience delivering low-latency distributed systems at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in engineering management or technical team leadership.
• Led teams building high-performance, low-latency distributed systems at consumer-internet scale.
• Fluency in C++ with strong debugging and code review skills.
• Experience working on multi-platform environments (mobile, desktop, console).

Responsibilities

• Recruit, mentor, and grow a team of systems engineers.
• Own roadmaps for low-latency networking and real-time state synchronization.
• Review code and guide architectural design; contribute hands-on C++ work.
