Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH is seeking an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Manager to lead product development, engineering operations, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. This role drives new product development and enhancements across the lifecycle, ensuring products meet customer, quality, regulatory, and business requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years in product design/manufacturing engineering or production process engineering.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong CAD, GD&T, drawings, and design standards experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design, development, testing, and launch activities for new and existing products.
• Direct engineering and R&D teams to achieve project objectives, quality standards, and business goals.
• Oversee product design reviews, CAD standards, and design guidelines.
• Drive product innovation while improving manufacturability, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with Operations to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and support successful product launches.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to product quality, manufacturing issues, and customer concerns.
• Manage capital projects from concept through implementation, including budgeting, planning, and execution.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
