Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group in Muskego, Wisconsin, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead product design, development, testing, and launches. You will direct engineering and R&D teams to meet project objectives, quality standards, and customer requirements.

The role partners with Operations, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to deliver innovative, high-quality products while driving manufacturability, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in product design, manufacturing engineering, or production process engineering.
• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong background in manufacturing environments and hands-on product development.
• Experience with CAD design tools, GD&T, engineering drawings, and design standards.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design, development, testing, and launch activities for new and existing products.
• Direct engineering and R&D teams to achieve project objectives, quality standards, and business goals.
• Oversee product design reviews, engineering documentation, CAD standards, and design guidelines.
• Drive product innovation while improving manufacturability, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with Operations to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and support successful product launches.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to product quality, manufacturing issues, and customer concerns.
• Manage capital projects from concept through implementation, including budgeting, planning, and execution.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support supplier development, technical problem-solving, and customer-facing engineering activities.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
