Job summary

Finom, a growing European fintech, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a 5–10 engineer team across backend, frontend, mobile, and QA. You’ll ship products that deliver real value to hundreds of thousands of European businesses, balancing speed with scalable architecture.

You’ll drive hiring, grow your team, and collaborate with PM/Design to align engineering output with business goals and user outcomes. This role offers stock options and EU-wide remote/hybrid flexibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development building data-intensive production systems.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Deep technical knowledge across languages and distributed architectures.
• Experience in product-led organizations with international scope.
• Strong business acumen connecting engineering to revenue and retention.
• Familiar with product metrics (DAU/MAU, retention, conversion).
• Excellent English communication across audiences.
• Builder mentality focused on shipping great products and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team to ship valuable fintech products.
• Collaborate with PM to frame problems and prioritize outcomes.
• Balance feature delivery with technical debt and scalability.
• Own hiring, growth plans, and regular performance feedback.
• Partner with Product and Design for predictable delivery.
