Stripe in Seattle is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on building scalable financial infrastructure. You will coach engineers, shape delivery processes, and partner with product, design, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-impact features.

You will own problems end-to-end, uphold coding standards, and drive architecture decisions while recruiting top talent. This role invites autonomy and entrepreneurial thinking to improve the developer experience and product outcomes

Qualifications

4+ years of engineering management with teams of 5+ engineers.
8+ years of full-time software development experience.
Experience building scalable, extensible software solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tackle ambiguity.
Commitment to a supportive, feedback-driven work environment.
Technical ability to discuss architecture with engineers.
Autonomy and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering and design processes, coaching, mentoring, and support for the team.
Collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and operations to align on projects and roadmap.
Own problems end-to-end by managing diverse systems and technologies and optimizing user experience.
Uphold high engineering standards and implement best practices across codebases.
Recruit top engineering talent in partnership with Stripe’s recruiting team.
