Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Power Protection & Automation Engineering Development Program (EDP) in Wendell, NC. This hybrid role coordinates rotations, training, and mentorship, fostering hands-on learning in protection, automation, and field execution.

You will partner with the Technical Talent Director and project teams to drive curriculum improvements, track performance, and ensure safety and program metrics while supporting future cohorts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in power systems, MV or HV switchgear, protection and automation, controls, commissioning, field service, or technical project execution.
• Experience leading, mentoring, coaching, or developing engineers or technical employees.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically; must be physically in Wendell, NC office 2+ days a week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of the Power Protection & Automation EDP.
• Coach, mentor, and develop EDP participants throughout rotations.
• Provide technical guidance on protection, automation, relay applications, controls, and field execution.
• Coordinate training schedules, field rotations, and deployment plans with engineers and project teams.
• Support curriculum improvements and ensure program consistency across cohorts.
