Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with leadership exposure.
• Experience coaching engineers and delivering end-to-end domains.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Java/Kotlin/Go/Python/TypeScript).
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native tech, Kubernetes, containers and CI/CD.
• Ability to review code/architecture and unblock complex issues.
• Experience with sprint planning, prioritization, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery, operation, and improvement of a defined engineering domain.
• Set short-term goals, priorities, sprints, and accountability for results.
• Direct and review work of software engineers to meet objectives.
• Coach and partner with senior tech leaders on architecture and standards.
• Review code/architecture and unblock decisions across related systems.
• Improve processes, systems, and team practices in the domain.
• Explain decisions to Product/Design/Data and other partners.
• Hire, onboard, and manage performance per guidelines.
• Lead incident response and corrective actions for the team.
• Identify leadership or capacity needs and adjust team structure as growth occurs.
