Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking an Engineering Manager to direct and coordinate the plant engineering group at our Spartanburg, SC facility. The role focuses on maximizing efficiency, reducing downtime, and improving manufacturing methods while leading a team of engineers and controls engineers.

You will develop plans for new product launches, PFMEA, and standard work processes, and partner with other departments to optimize operations and budget usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering.
• BSME with 5 years of engineering management experience preferred.
• Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities of the plant engineering group.
• Develop and implement policies and goals for the Manufacturing Engineering department.
• Plan schedules and prioritize engineering activities for new programs.
• Supervise engineers and controls engineers.
• Analyze budget requests and allocate operating resources.
• Obtain quotes from vendors and assist with vendor selection.
