Job summary

Cooper Standard in Spartanburg, SC, seeks a senior Engineering Leader to direct and coordinate all engineering activities within the plant. This role aligns manufacturing processes with policy, safety, quality, and lean targets while driving cost performance and OEE improvements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of people leadership experience in automotive manufacturing, familiarity with IATF systems, and travel flexibility to support facilities and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum five years of people leadership experience required.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing a plus.
• Knowledge of IATF quality systems preferred or required per site.
• Willingness to travel to facilities or customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate engineering activities in the plant and organization.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve capability, schedules, scrap, and OEE.
• Define and execute manufacturing processes for current and new products.
• Monitor performance and drive cost reductions and process optimization.
• Promote lean principles and continuous improvement across the plant.
• Ensure compliance with IATF, ISO 14001, and quality system procedures.
