Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an Engineering Manager for the People Applications team who will scale our 1P products across recruitment, compensation and employee experience. You will guide the technical direction and mentor engineers across US and Hungary while partnering with product and design to deliver AI-enabled, high-impact experiences for our global workforce.

You will lead a collaborative, fast-paced effort to evolve our People platform, improve developer velocity, and drive exceptional employee

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years leading full-stack teams of 5+ engineers.
• 7+ years software development experience, ideally HR applications.
• Experience with distributed systems design, scaling and performance optimization.
• Experience with Generative AI development and prompt engineering.
• Hands-on leadership, business acumen and product intuition.
• Deep technical background with NodeJs/TypeScript, React, Python, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Inspire: Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of full stack engineers across multiple DoorDash locations including US and Hungary.
• Drive Technical Vision: Define architectural roadmap for the team.
• Deliver Impactful Features: Oversee development of core People Application product experiences, including data pipelines, automation and AI tool integrations.
• Collaborate Across Functions: Work with product managers, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into user-first solutions.
• Operational Excellence: Establish best practices in development, testing, release management, and monitoring.
• Embrace AI: Leverage AI and automation to improve developer velocity and outcomes.
