Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an Engineering Manager for the People Applications team to build and scale AI-enabled first-party products spanning talent acquisition, compensation, and employee experience. You will help shape the future of our People platform as we accelerate AI adoption and evolve 1P products to drive efficiency and better employee experiences across all brands.

This is a hybrid role reporting to the Senior Manager, Enterprise App Engineering, with opportunities across US and Hungary.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams of 5+ engineers.
• 7+ years of industry experience in software development, ideally in HR-related applications.
• Experience with distributed system design, scaling, and performance optimization including leveraging AI to improve velocity.
• Hands-on leadership, strong business acumen and strong product intuition.
• Deep technical background with NodeJs/TypeScript, React, Python, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with remote teams across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a high-performing, full-stack engineering team across multiple locations (US and Hungary).
• Define architectural roadmap and drive the technical vision for the team.
• Oversee development of core People Applications product experiences, including data pipelines, automation and AI tool integration.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into user-first solutions.
• Establish best practices in development processes, testing, release management, and monitoring.
• Embrace AI and automation to improve developer velocity and business outcomes.
