Job summary

ADDA Talent Solutions is seeking an Engineering Manager in Houston, TX to support customers and manufacturing by defining and deploying our plastics processing, tooling input, and robust manufacturing systems for new projects. The role focuses on process studies, automation, and production efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• 4 year college degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years experience in manufacturing environment including process engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) team to meet project commitments and ensure efficient production.
• Establish Master Control Plans with robust injection molding processes and ergonomic workspaces.
• Set quarterly plans/goals for NPI and tooling teams with metric-based assessments.
• Manage department budget and purchasing decisions for new equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement for production efficiency, scrap reduction, and organization.
• Coordinate with in-house tooling on priorities, equipment use, and target setting.
• Review new projects for proper manufacturing setup and ergonomic considerations.
• Oversee outsourced mold builds, including DFM, mold design, build timeframes, and vendor accountability.
• Collaborate with accounting on invoicing and closure of NPI jobs on time.
• Provide technical guidance on plastics processing, mold design, automation, and quality control.
