Job summary

AllSearch Professional Staffing is seeking an Engineering Manager for a plastic injection molding-focused facility in Houston, TX. This 100% onsite role leads a small engineering team and oversees engineering activities across NPI, tooling, processes, and production.

The candidate will blend hands-on plastic injection molding expertise with leadership and project management, driving standardization and growth across operations and customer-facing projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in custom plastic injection molding manufacturing engineering.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience managing engineering projects and supporting NPI or product launches within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Houston, TX.
• Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, tooling, and DFM.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 engineers.
• Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from initial concept and engineering review through production launch.
• Manage multiple engineering projects, establish priorities, identify issues, and drive projects to completion.
• Partner with Manufacturing Operations, Sales, Tooling, Automation, management, and customers.
• Provide technical guidance related to injection molding, tooling, mold design, materials, manufacturing, and DFM.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and 3D models to support product development, tooling, and manufacturing.
• Coordinate engineering activities with tooling and other vendors.
• Develop and implement consistent engineering processes, procedures, and standards.
