Job summary

Jsr Associates is seeking an Engineering Manager to work with the Director of Engineering to define and implement department strategies. The role focuses on directing engineering resources to achieve high-quality products and on-time delivery for ETO orders, with emphasis on ASME code compliance.

The position offers potential advancement to Director of Engineering and requires strong knowledge of HVAC components and heat exchangers, plus significant managerial experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 10 years manufacturing experience in design and development of heat exchangers and/or HVAC systems preferred.
• At least 3 years of managerial experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct engineering resources and coordinate activities to maximize efficiency and cost-effective, high-quality products.
• Lead day-to-day engineering operations for on-time processing of ETO sales orders, product maintenance & enhancement, and application of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code.

Engineering Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Engineering Manager works closely with the Director of Engineering to define and implementdepartmental strategies in support of the goals and objectives of the organization. The primaryresponsibility of the Engineering Manager is to direct engineering resources and coordinate their activitiesto achieve maximum efficiency and produce cost-effective, high quality products.

The EngineeringManager serves as the Chief Engineer, while leading and managing the day-to-day engineering operationsrelated to on-time processing of the Engineered-to-Order (ETO) sales orders, product maintenance & enhancement, application of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, and the achievement of assignedWI's.

• Manage welding/brazing activities including procedures, approvals and certifications.
• Review and Approve (sign-off) engineering documents.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
• A minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience involving design and development of heatexchangers and/or related HVAC systems and components preferred.
• Must have at least 3 years managerial experience.

JOB KNOWLEDGE. SKILLS. AND ABILITIES

• Expert knowledge in the interpretation and application of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel CodeSections Ill, Classes 1, 2, 3 and Section VIII as related to Custom product design.
• Proficiency in the design of mechanical components and equipment assemblies.
• Strong knowledge in Strength of Materials
• Experience in the use of MRP systems.

Additional Skills

• General SolidWorks and EPDM knowledge.
• Able to interact cooperatively and professionally at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in the use of computers for general business logistics.
• Strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
