Job summary

gpac is recruiting for an Engineering Manager to provide technical and people leadership within a growing manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes aligning engineering practices, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering high-quality, market-responsive solutions across the Midwest.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of engineering management experience, a strong technical background in industrial equipment, and experience with SolidWorks for equipment and structural frame design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or industrial manufacturing-related field.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
• Strong technical background for detailed technical discussions and decisions.
• Strong knowledge in industrial equipment related to HVAC units, heaters, chillers, pumps, and power distribution units.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6 engineers.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects to ensure on-time and to-spec completion.
• Partner with product, operations, and executive leadership to define technical roadmaps and priorities.
• Establish and maintain engineering best practices, including code quality, testing standards, and documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks, risks, and resourcing gaps.
• Drive process improvements to increase team efficiency and product reliability.
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to equipment services and industrial operations.
• Direct report to the Chief Operating Officer.
• Serve a diverse range of industries across the Midwest and beyond.
