Job summary

Dynamic Manufacturing in Hillside, IL seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineering Lead to oversee Mechanical Engineering and Design teams, directing tooling, fixtures, gauges, and automated test systems on complex automation programs.

You will drive standards, roadmaps, and supplier collaboration, applying Lean methods and advanced CAD/FEA to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions across manufacturing and testing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Manufacturing/automotive background.
• Hands-on with industrial robotics, motion control, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated test equipment.
• Lean methods experience: SMED, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and organizational leadership for Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Design teams.
• Own roadmaps for mechanical design, automation, robotics, motion control, hydraulics, pneumatics, and safety.
• Direct the design and build of tooling, fixtures, gauges, ergonomic devices, and automated test systems.
• Maintain and approve 3D models and 2D drawings; oversee calculations, FEA, tolerance analyses, GD&T, and prototype validation.
• Lead multiple capital and engineering projects from concept through commissioning.
• Mentor engineers, hire and develop talent, and build succession plans.
