Job summary

Dynamic Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize process development and product flow in our Hillside, IL facility. You will identify waste, improve throughput, ensure safety, and support product launches with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in manufacturing engineering, knowledge of Lean and IATF 16949, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field strongly preferred and 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in an assembly manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Automotive Industry standards and requirements, e.g. IATF 16949 preferred
  • Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Capable of identifying and leading lean continuous improvement events
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Team building, decision-making and people management skills

Responsibilities

  • Process Development Project Management – ensuring completion from start to finish
  • Supports product launch activities
  • Review engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services
  • Define how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency
  • Develop quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
  • Work with customers and management to develop standards for design and production
  • Confer with clients concerning product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects
  • Develop, recommend, and implement initiatives to improve production metrics and financial performance
  • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
  • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians
