Job summary

Luxury Presence is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead Maps & Search, owning hiring, onboarding, coaching, 1:1s, direct feedback, and career development. You will stay hands-on with code reviews, architecture, and scale a high-throughput real estate search platform across web and mobile.

You will drive AI-powered discovery, influence architecture decisions, and partner with product/design to define the roadmap, delivering end-to-end impact and reliable performance for users and agents.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with senior or staff-level leadership.
Search experience in relevance, ranking, or retrieval systems.
Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
Experience designing scalable microservice architectures in AWS.
Strong understanding of GraphQL, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch.
Proven track record operating high-traffic, low-latency production systems at scale.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow the Maps & Search team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and career development.
Stay hands-on with code reviews, architecture, and thorny debugging.
Own and scale a high-throughput search platform for real estate data.
Improve engagement, lead conversion, and agent workflows in web and mobile.
Push AI-powered discovery and intelligent ranking into search workflows.
Shape the roadmap with product and design and own end-to-end delivery.
