Luxury Presence is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the Maps & Search team, owning hiring, onboarding, coaching, and career development. You will stay close to code, contribute architecture, and drive a high-throughput search platform serving massive monthly requests.

You will push forward AI-powered discovery and shape roadmaps with product and design, translating user needs into technical plans and ensuring reliable delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with meaningful senior or staff-level time.
• 2+ years managing engineering teams.
• Search experience — retrieval or ranking systems and improving relevance.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React across UI to data paths.
• Experience designing scalable microservice architectures in AWS/cloud-native environments.
• Strong understanding of GraphQL, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch.
• Proven track record operating high-traffic, low-latency production systems.

• Lead and grow the Maps & Search team with hiring, onboarding, coaching, and career development.
• Stay hands-on with code reviews, architecture, and debugging to guide trade-offs.
• Own and scale a high-throughput real estate search platform with latency and reliability focus.
• Deliver a world-class home search experience across web and mobile, boosting engagement.
• Push forward AI-powered discovery by integrating LLMs and intelligent ranking.
• Shape the roadmap with product and design, translating needs into a technical plan and delivering end-to-end.
