Job summary

Tekmetric is a cloud-based platform empowering auto repair shops to operate more efficiently. We seek an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers, shape technical direction, and own delivery while mentoring talent to improve product impact.

You will collaborate with product, design, and QA to align initiatives with company goals, while supporting growth and cross-functional excellence. Hybrid/remote options are available, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software development with at least 3 years of engineering leadership experience.
• Built and developed an impactful team of passionate engineers.
• Able to tackle sophisticated engineering problems that deliver results which help the team to achieve its objectives.
• You’re passionate about being in a product-focused environment where everyone cares deeply about customer impact.
• Located in Eastern or Central Time Zone.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
• Own your team’s delivery, quality and timely execution.
• Guide key technical decisions around new product initiatives.
• Work closely with other departments, including product, design, and QA, to align engineering activities with company objectives.
• Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes and practices to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new engineering team members
