Job summary

Afterman Software LLC is seeking a hands-on leader to guide a team of engineers while delivering scalable software solutions. The role blends engineering execution (60%) with people and project management (40%), driving ownership, high-impact opportunities, and rapid delivery in a fast-paced environment.

You will design and implement backend systems using .NET, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, RabbitMQ, Docker, and AWS, while mentoring engineers and QA professionals across multiple initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with progressive leadership or management responsibilities.
• 6+ years of experience with C#, .NET Core, and the Microsoft development ecosystem deployed via AWS.
• 6+ years of experience in real-time data management (SQL, NoSQL, caching).
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps disciplines (GIT or Azure DevOps, Terraform, Python).
• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams and interfacing with product and business organizations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver scalable software modules and components.
• Build backend systems using .NET 10, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, RabbitMQ, Docker and AWS.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers and QA professionals with empathy and growth focus.
• Foster a culture that promotes sharing ideas, calculated risks, and learning from setbacks.
• Plan, triage, and prioritize work across multiple initiatives with lifecycles from two weeks to three months.
