Qualifications

• Tech Lead or Engineering Management experience preferred.
• At least 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated track record of building and empowering long lasting teams.
• Experience in a highly complex technical environment.
• Experience in a fast paced startup environment.
• Strong communication and decision-making abilities.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead 4+ engineers across one or more teams
• Ensure successful business outcomes for the team
• Partner with product managers, designers, and operations to develop and execute R&D strategy
• Build and develop a high-performing engineering team
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship
• Perform coding and architecture design
• Define and evangelize processes to improve team effectiveness and impact
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation using data-driven decisions
• Partner with engineering leaders to build Valon’s engineering culture and direction
