Job summary

Preply is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead one of two high-impact tribes. You will grow and mentor engineering teams, define long-term vision, and partner with Product, Data, and Design to drive measurable customer and business value. You’ll balance speed, quality, and reliability while championing best practices and an inclusive culture.

You will collaborate across the organization to align priorities and execute on strategic initiatives that scale Preply’s learning platform globally.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in building, leading, and scaling development teams.
• Ability to coach and develop engineers through feedback and mentorship.
• Experience driving architectural discussions and technology strategy.
• Experience partnering with Product, Design and Data to drive outcomes.
• Track record of delivering measurable business value through engineering leadership.
• Lead with empathy, transparency, ownership and inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow high-performing engineering teams, fostering ownership and technical excellence.
• Coach engineers through regular feedback, mentorship, and career development.
• Define long-term vision and strategy aligned with company objectives and product priorities.
