Job summary

equipifi is seeking an Engineering Manager to bring performance management and operational rigor to its growing engineering org. You will lead three pods, coaching engineers, and driving cadence, quality, and delivery in a fast-paced fintech SaaS environment.

You will own hiring, 1:1s, and performance management, implement DORA metrics, and push deployment cadence from weekly to daily. A strong Go and Node.js/TypeScript background is expected, with AI tooling experience valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a software engineer before moving into management
• 3+ years as an engineering manager
• Experience with continuous delivery and automated testing
• Fluency with DORA metrics or equivalent throughput framework
• Comfortable with Go and with Node.js/TypeScript
• Experience using Linear for workflow management
• AI-native mindset using tools like Claude or Codex
• Ability to manage up, across, and down in an org
• Bonus for Temporal or high-security/compliance experience

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team across three pods
• Own delivery cadence, metrics, and architecture decisions
• Translate product requirements into technical scope across teams
• Drive hiring, coaching, 1:1s, and performance management
• Improve deployment speed and quality through automated testing and CD practices
