Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an engineering leader to head the Intercom team and drive the roadmap for a rapidly expanding product line. You will mentor engineers, ensure scalable architecture, and partner with Product and Design to deliver customer-focused features.

Expect a strong product-first mindset, extensive SaaS experience, and hands-on involvement in architecture and coding as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience managing, leading, and inspiring a team of engineers; including hiring, retaining, and managing performance.
• 5+ years of work experience in software engineering roles focused on great product experiences.
• A 'Product-First' mindset focused on user problems over technology.
• Deep understanding of enterprise SaaS.
• Experience with both backend and frontend.
• Experience in an agile software development environment.
• Eye for design, product details, and polish.
• Knowledge of at least one server-side framework and one database system.
• Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.

Responsibilities

• As the Intercom team lead, define roadmap and strategy to capture customers in new markets.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews and hands-on coding when needed.
• Mentor engineers to grow future tech leads and influence team growth.
• Inspire the team to deliver polished user experiences aligned with customer needs.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to understand customer needs and deliver value.
• Work with other engineering leaders to set goals, priorities, and processes.
