Job summary

ALSAC, based in Memphis, TN, seeks an Engineering Manager of Information Architecture to lead teams delivering enterprise information modeling, taxonomy, metadata management, and content labeling. This role supports donor engagement and capacity-to-give insights through data-driven strategies.

You will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to advance strategic data initiatives, promote knowledge management, and ensure secure, scalable data architectures in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in information or data architecture, including strategy development, planning, and delivery oversight.
• Strong understanding of enterprise information architecture principles, including modeling, metadata management, taxonomy, content labeling, and master data management.
• Experience with Data Lake and Data Warehouse design, cloud platforms, Hadoop, NoSQL, and data virtualization solutions.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills across organizational levels.
• Experience with database architecture, design, and operational processes; familiarity with modern BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops technical teams responsible for information architecture and related software platforms; mentors engineers and analysts.
• Partners with the Director, Platform to develop technical strategies and operational plans, including budget recommendations.
• Ensures team effectiveness through coaching, code reviews, and performance management; fosters a collaborative environment.
• Champions best practices; drives delivery of secure, scalable solutions and promotes common assets and modern design principles.
• Manages vendor relationships to ensure on-time delivery within scope and standards.
• Oversees career development, growth plans, and education opportunities; manages training budgets.
• Collaborates with ITS and business stakeholders to align strategies with organizational objectives.
