Job summary

gpac is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a growing engineering organization within a leading Midwest manufacturer. The role combines technical leadership with people management to ensure engineering excellence, standards, and successful project delivery across multiple industrial domains.

You will guide a team of six engineers, partner with product, operations, and executive leadership to set roadmaps, implement best practices, and reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an industrial manufacturing-related field.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
• Strong technical background with ability to engage in detailed technical discussions and decisions.
• Knowledge of HVAC units, heaters, chillers, pumps, and power distribution units.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for custom equipment and structural frame design.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6 engineers.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to spec.
• Partner with product, operations, and executive leadership to define technical roadmaps and priorities.
• Establish and maintain engineering best practices, including code quality, testing standards, and documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks, risks, and resourcing gaps.
• Drive process improvements to increase team efficiency and product reliability.
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to equipment services and industrial operations.
• Direct report to the Chief Operating Officer
• Serve a diverse range of industries across the Midwest and beyond
