Job summary

gpac partners with an industry-leading manufacturing client in the Midwest to seek an Engineering Manager who will lead a growing team and drive engineering excellence across disciplines.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with product and operations, establishing best practices, roadmap planning, and delivering reliable, high-quality equipment solutions for HVAC, pumps, heaters, chillers, and power distribution. Direct report to the COO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects.
• Strong technical background with ability to engage in detailed discussions.
• Knowledge of HVAC units, heaters, chillers, pumps, and power distribution units.
• SolidWorks proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6 engineers
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to spec
• Define technical roadmaps and priorities with stakeholders
• Establish engineering best practices including code quality and documentation
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, risks, and resourcing gaps
• Drive process improvements for efficiency and reliability
• Stay current on industry trends relevant to equipment services
• Report to the COO
• Serve diverse industries across the Midwest and beyond
