Job summary

BAE Systems in Westminster, CO is seeking an Engineering Manager II for Lean Product and Process EOIR to lead a team of engineers and professionals, driving LPPD strategy and early manufacturability across a highly matrixed organization.

On-site five days a week, you will shape the technical and cultural evolution of development to rate production, ensuring safety, training, and a high‑performing workforce.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience.
• Master’s or PhD may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Demonstrated success in customer relationships and value shaping.
• Systems-based understanding of LPPD focusing on people, processes, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Define customer value and clarify purpose across engineering and operations.
• Lead cross-functional teams to remove barriers to knowledge and hardware flow.
• Implement LPPD principles and PDCA cycles across the value stream.
• Coach and develop a high-performing Lean organization with safety culture.
• Drive manufacturability and early readiness through DFM/DFT/DFX disciplines.
• Manage 2–3 matrixed managers and a growing team of engineers.
• Own department budgets and ensure stable, competitive labor rates.
• Foster cross-functional alignment with engineering, operations, supply chain, and program teams.
