York Space Systems in Greenwood Village, CO is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to scale production processes, optimize assembly/test/integration of space vehicles, and drive improvements in safety, quality, and productivity on a fully on-site team.

You will design layouts, lead value stream mapping, support Kaizen events, and collaborate with planning, quality, and manufacturing teams to reduce waste and cycle times while maintaining production capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
• 5+ years in a complex, controlled manufacturing environment (aerospace/auto/pharma).
• Exposure to automation and/or visual error-proofing processes.
• Experience with Lean principles; Lean certification preferred but not required.
• Experience with electronics manufacturing processes, BOM management, change control, and ERP is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, Power BI, Visio, and modeling software.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance and work onsite in Greenwood Village, CO.

Responsabilités

• Support development and updates to production capacity plans and workflows.
• Design facility and work cell layouts to improve build quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Lead regular reviews of production sequences and provide engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate with continuous improvement, production planning, quality, and manufacturing teams to streamline workflow.
• Contribute to value stream mapping and Kaizen activities to reduce waste and cycle time.
• Assist with digital and automation improvements on the shop floor.
