Job summary

Pleo is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Authentication and Authorization team, focusing on the IAM strategy and enterprise migration. You will lead a six- to ten-person engineering group, collaborate with Product, Security, and Core Platform, and drive secure, scalable identity solutions end‑to‑end.

You will define migration paths from SMB to Enterprise, modernize auth capabilities, and own delivery outcomes while maintaining trust, compliance and performance across the platform.

Qualifications

• Solid experience leading engineering teams with impact on delivery and people development.
• Strong hands-on depth in authentication and authorization standards (OAuth, SAML, OIDC) within product-driven orgs.
• Architectural credibility guiding migrations and handling legacy constraints.
• Excellent stakeholder management across engineering, product, and risk partners with clear communication.
• Bias for action: lead through ambiguity and drive momentum.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy and execution roadmap for identity, authentication and authorization across SMB and Enterprise.
• Drive delivery and outcomes for the IAM team, ensuring secure, scalable systems the platform can rely on.
• Successfully roll out a new identity platform across Enterprise offerings.
• Define and execute a pragmatic migration strategy between SMB legacy service and Enterprise architecture.
• Update legacy auth services, reducing risk and technical debt while maintaining security and compliance.
• Partner with Product, Security, Compliance and Core Platform to align priorities and unblock dependencies.
• Stay close to technology and architecture, guiding complex trade‑offs.
• Continuously improve how we build software, strengthening operational excellence and quality.
• Hire, coach and grow a high‑performing team.
