Job summary

bet365 is seeking an Engineering Manager I to coordinate and drive a team delivering real-time, scalable software solutions. You’ll lead developers, focusing on people, processes, delivery and governance, and transform SDLC practices toward agentic workflows.

The role emphasizes leadership across frontend (React/Typescript) and server-side systems, aiming for low latency, high availability, and collaboration with the Offers team to support rapid bonus mechanics. Hybrid work options apply.

Qualifications

Proven track record leading teams to deliver high quality solutions.
Developing low latency, highly available and scalable solutions.
Experience with Agentic transformation to the SDLC.
Driving AI efficiency initiatives.
Experience of event-based systems.
Server side development such as Services, Systems, Messaging, Middleware.
Frontend development experience, such as React and Typescript.
Good database application programming ability.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple streams of activity, shifting focus regularly.

Responsibilities

Lead and coach a software development team to deliver robust software solutions.
Measure quality and delivery, drive improvements, and maintain technical understanding of systems.
Guide SDLC transformation toward agentic workflows and modern AI practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to meet business needs and governance constraints.
Mentor team members and contribute to performance feedback and appraisals.
Ensure efficient development processes and mitigate risks.
