Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an Engineering Manager to build and lead a team responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of manufacturing equipment in a new Greenfield facility in Nampa, Idaho. You will establish maintenance practices, develop team capabilities, and create systems to support a growing operation.

You will work with the Process Control & Reliability team to maximize equipment availability, reduce unplanned downtime, and drive continuous

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering or management experience.
• Strong technical knowledge in engineering disciplines/technologies.
• Ability to design/produce/support successful products and processes.
• Ability to solve technical problems with creativity and guidance from management.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Background check satisfactory to SEL; negative drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Leads on discipline/technology/process with cost, schedule, and performance objectives in mind.
• Assists portfolio planning and long-term strategy.
• Manages recruitment, supervision, and development of individual contributors.
• Represents the team at external meetings and large internal forums.
• Models and applies SEL Values and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Other duties as assigned.
