Job summary

SEL is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead discipline/technology decisions, oversee cost, schedule, and performance objectives, and guide product development in a high-stakes environment.

The role emphasizes portfolio planning, strategy, and developing engineers through mentoring and structured programs. Collaboration across teams and external forums is expected, with a focus on SEL values and world-class manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering field or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • 8+ years of related engineering or management experience
  • Strong technical knowledge in one or more engineering disciplines/technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to design/produce/support successful products/processes
  • Ability to manage product line/process problems requiring creativity, ingenuity, and guidance from manager
  • Strong desire to develop employees and lead projects
  • Ability to define general approaches and specific solutions to technical problems
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)
