PatientIQ in the United States is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a 4–6 person software team, revamp the current experience, and build the future stack with modern technologies. You will work closely with Product, designers, and stakeholders to deliver compliant data collection, scalable architectures, and AI-enabled development practices in a healthcare software environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software experience.
• 3+ years of Ruby on Rails experience.
• 1+ years of engineering management experience.
• Experience in the healthcare software industry.
• Comfortable applying AI throughout the software lifecycle.
• Capable of thriving in a startup environment with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Mentor a team of 4-6 engineers and support their growth.
• Be a player-coach through coding contributions and technical support.
• Own team agile rituals such as planning, ticketing, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Plan, lead, and support new production features and projects with Product Managers and designers.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support production usage by enterprise customers.
• Champion software performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
• Balance new development with technical debt and architectural improvements.
• Lead adoption of AI tooling across development practices.
