Job summary

Humata Health is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Payer Intelligence team that automates prior authorization review end to end. You’ll own people, process, and technical direction for backend Go services, Python AI actions, and Vue 3/TypeScript frontends.

You will coach engineers, drive performance cycles, participate in architecture reviews, and partner with Product, Design, and Clinical teams to deliver scalable, compliant health-tech software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in an engineering management or team lead role.
• Hands-on depth in Go, Python, or TypeScript with ability to review code and discuss architectural trade-offs.
• Practical experience with modern AI technologies and AI-driven products.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of engineers across backend, AI/ML, and frontend disciplines.
• Drive performance management cycles and coaching.
• Partner with recruiting to attract and onboard top engineering talent.
• Build a culture of psychological safety, feedback, and accountability.
• Identify growth opportunities and create development plans.
