Job summary

VAS, a URUS Group company, is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead an engineering team and shape technical strategy. You’ll stay close to the technology while mentoring engineers, driving delivery, and partnering with Product, Design, Business, and Engineering stakeholders.

You’ll contribute to architecture decisions, enforce quality standards, and advance agile practices, mobile development, and cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with strong technical foundation.
• 4+ years leading or managing software engineering teams.
• Experience with mobile app development (React Native, iOS, Android).
• Experience with offline-first architectures.
• Experience with modern technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, React, .NET, Node.js, APIs, microservices).
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design and design patterns.
• Experience with AWS and cloud environments.
• CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps practices, and modern delivery processes.
• Experience leading delivery using Agile or Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing software engineering team.
• Drive Agile delivery, including sprint planning, retrospectives, standups, prioritization, and blockers.
• Set clear goals, manage team capacity, and maintain momentum across priorities.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, technical strategy, code reviews, debugging, and problem-solving.
• Establish engineering best practices, quality standards, testing practices, and sustainable processes.
• Balance delivery speed with quality and long-term platform health.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Business, and Engineering stakeholders.
