Job summary

NaviStone is seeking an Engineering Manager in Cincinnati, OH to guide a small team building our platform with TypeScript, React, and Node.js. You will stay hands-on while strengthening agile processes, mentoring engineers, and partnering with product to deliver the right features.

You will lead hiring, onboarding, and growth, represent the team to leadership, and push for AI-enhanced development to improve velocity and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or mentoring engineers.
• Strong hands-on with TypeScript, React, Node.js across the full stack.
• Proven track record improving team shipping, cycle time, and process.
• Product-minded with clear communication to stakeholders.
• Ability to balance coding with people & process responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of application engineers (2-4) and stay hands-on with front-end/back-end work.
• Shape realistic roadmaps with product managers and stakeholders.
• Improve agile ceremonies and remove blockers to accelerate delivery.
• Coach hiring, onboarding, and growth conversations for engineers.
• Promote AI-assisted and agentic development practices to boost velocity.
